I was out agate hunting and they often show up after a big storm. I was about a 50 minute walk down the beach on a rainy day. I saw this ship in the distance so I tried playing with different angles of composition to try and enhance this photo, but there wasn't much to work with. I was so engrossed in the composition that I didn't notice the hot spot in the sky. I like the composition end result, but in B/W photography hot spots are very unforgiving, it ruined this photo.
